Dentron Amp Before and After

This is the page where I'll describe this  trade as best I can in pictures and words

Here are some pictures of the amp that Steve KD6RHR traded me for my Icom 706 mk2g and ldg tuner. You can see from the arcing under the cover that this amp was abused and is burnt up as well as the band switch and tank coil.
4 broken parasistic suppressors and 2 dead tubes and 2 almost dead tubes.

And Stevie Wonder could have seen this amp was shot.

What a mess

This is proof along with the rest of the pictures that Steve KD6RHR commited a fraud and should be dealt with accordingly.BEWARE!!

When I recieved the amp I took the cover off to remove the packing around the tubes and this is what I found. With the way this amp is burnt up when Steve packed paper around the tubes he'd have to be blind not to see the damage so I don't believe he made this deal in good faith as well as when I found the problems upon inspection I offered to pay the shipping again to return the amp to him and ship my radio back to me.I also sent him a check for 100 dollars to cover the shipping of the amp so it would be shipped safely and it came in a box on an old pillow not a hundred dollars worth of packing and shipping.Damn Ray Charles could have seen the damage.

I didn't know too much about amplifiers when I recieved this amp but 8 months later I'm an expert on them. The 4 parastic suppressors as well as the tubes were shot also.2 of the tubes wouldn't even light up and the other 2 were barely alive as burnt up as they were. Also the choke that feeds the parasitics
was also arcing and needing repair or replacement.
The long and short of it is.I sent the amp to Hilltop Restorations in New Hampshire where the amp was inspected
and I was given an estimate of around 500 dollars. The parts
list was as listed,1 band switch,4 parasitic suppressors,1
choke coil,4 tubes, and 8 HV fiter capacitors.Labor involved repairing metering circuit replace parasitic suppressors ,repair choke coil, replace tubes, and 8 HV Filter Caps.Clean up wiring and straighten case which was bent in transit. The price was $320 in parts and 5 hrs labor at 50 per=$ 250,total was $570 plus shipping.
